Family Medicine Residency Program

The Family Medicine Residency Program was launched by the PEI Government in December 2007. The program is in the planning stages, though estimates five first year residents will begin training on Prince Edward Island in July, 2009. The program will facilitate the clinical experiences for medical students and residents, who come to PEI to train in family medicine.

As well as providing core tracks for it’s residents, the program will also be able to provide opportunities to specialty residents from other medical schools to complete elective rotations on the Island.
